Role:
To direct and coordinate activities relative to creating and administering personal, corporate, employee benefit, IRA, probate, and court-ordered guardianship trusts in accordance with terms of governing document or court order.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Reviews legal documents, or consults with client's attorney who drafts legal documents, specifying details, conditions, and duration of trust.

Manages and administers various types of fiduciary accounts; is responsible for investment portfolio management; provides consultative client contact.

Reviews and coordinates fiduciary, personal, and estate tax returns.

Makes presentations to current and to prospective trust clients; contributes to department's business development efforts.

Serves on several departmental and/or bank committees.

Directs disbursement of funds according to conditions of trust or needs of court ward or beneficiary.

Invests excess or surplus funds according to terms of trust and wishes of trust client.

To ensure management of trust accounts complies with regulations and departmental policies.

To complete required training and undertake additional training as needed to increase job knowledge and maximize productivity.

To provide training, development, support and leadership for all direct reports. To complete performance reviews within the prescribed time frame.

To acquire and maintain a working knowledge of regulations and bank procedures; to comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and other laws and regulations.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience
Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
Education
(1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills
Excellent communication sklls and organizational skills; proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
Physical Requirements
The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates or customers and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer.
Work Environment
