Job Title: Websites and Applications Reviewer/Content Reviewer Job Location: Lansing MI Job Type: Contract Job Duration: 12+ Months. - Bill Rate: $80.00/HR - Close to Submissions on: 8/12 at 10AM EST. - Interviews: MS Teams video interview with camera ON. 2nd round interviews may be held in-person (candidates must be available for an in-person interview). - Duration: 1 year with extension likely - Position location: Lansing, MI. This position will require in-office work for the first 1-2 months for onboarding. Following this, a hybrid schedule will be offered, requiring Monday and Tuesday in-office and remote work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Candidates must be able to work completely onsite for the first 1-2 months before transitioning to the hybrid work schedule (onsite 2 days per week).

The State of Michigan (SOM) Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) Center for Shared Solutions (CSS) eMichigan team is seeking to hire up to 6 additional full-time systems analysts for 1-2 years to conduct reviews for adherence with the SOM Digital Standards for Websites and Applications, which include standards for branding and digital accessibility. The contract has potential to extend beyond 2 years based upon SOM's needs.
Job Duties - Conduct reviews of SOM websites and applications for adherence with the SOM Digital Standards for Websites and Applications
- Test for digital accessibility using manual and automated tools including screen reader and other assistive technology
- Review for adherence with additional standards including branding
- Perform testing on desktop and mobile devices
- Thoroughly document review results
- Provide results to application support teams and stakeholders and meet with teams to explain results
- Work closely with eMichigan team members to ensure processes are followed and optimized
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements Education - A certificate or degree in any field required, Information Technology (IT) preferred
- Experience will be considered in lieu of a certificate or degree
Experience - 1 year of testing applications for digital accessibility (preferred 3+ years)
- 1 year working with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities - Advanced knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA
